This photograph cannot be the "Byers toll bridge" -- instead, it's a long-forgotten toll bridge that once sat north of Charlie, Clay County, Texas.

Today, O'Rourke Canal (Slough) in northwestern Louisiana, a historical remnant of the Great Raft, is just a small ditch.

Shreveport's West End is now an archeological relic, and one of its most obvious tombs is Peyton's Cut Rate Drug Store.
